Marie Shepard Scholarship

Requirements

The Boynton Woman’s Club recognizes the importance of education in helping women who need financial assistance to advance themselves. Each year we are pleased to award a Marie Shepard Higher Education Scholarship to a woman from Palm Beach County, Florida. Below are the qualifications and application process.

Eligibility

  • A female resident of Palm Beach County, Florida for at least one year.
  • Be a non-traditional student enrolled in an education program. A non-traditional student might be someone whose family obligations required an interruption of education prior to resuming an education program, or someone who waited until later in life to re-start her education. High school graduates proceeding directly to college are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Be a matriculated student in a degree/certificate program; must be taking at least one-credit-bearing course at an accredited trade school, community college, four-year college, university or trade school.

  • Official letter of acceptance from the school/college/university to be attended.
  • Goal essay (typed) describing your career goals and your particular financial situation.
  • Provide a minimum of two recent dated letters of recommendation from a professional who can speak to your character and career aspirations.
  • Send in single package post-marked on or before November 1, 2023 to the address above.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 1st, 2024.
